Noon-1 p.m. first Tuesdays, Friendship Hall, Mission Campus This group provides opportunities for comfort and hope to those who have experienced the death of a loved one. Village Church is one of six area churches who host. A speaker shares thoughts with the group, and then facilitated conversation takes place at small tables. You may listen, share, or do whatever is comfortable for you. Come whenever you are able – coming last minute is absolutely fine. 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesdays, Oct. 2-Oct. 30, Room 132, Mission Campus Growing through Grief explores what grief looks like and finds hope for moving forward. This five-week class is facilitated by one of the pastoral care pastors. Each participant receives his/her own copy of “Understanding Your Grief – Ten Essential Touchstones for Finding Hope and Healing Your Heart.” This class is free and open to all; registration is required. 9-10 a.m. Thursdays year-round, Room 132, Mission Campus This group is for men who whose spouses have died or who are living with a spouse who is challenged by dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. A pastoral care pastor joins the group twice a month while other meetings are facilitated by a group member.
