LT.001 Great Books Discussion

Facilitated by Jane Abildgaard & Joni Kimsey. 2-3:30 p.m. First Tuesday of each Month, year-round, Room 127.

This is not your usual book club. We tackle classic and contemporary essays from a wide range of authors, from Plato to David Sedaris. We discuss, share ideas, laugh, and enjoy friendship and fellowship.  It’s great exercise for our brains. The Great Books group is currently reading “50 Essays, A Portable Anthology” (third edition), by Samuel Cohen. This semester we’ll be reading Frederick Douglass, Malcolm X, James Baldwin, Zora Neale Hurston and others.
